Halloween... one of the many holidays I despise. After the holiday weekend, most students come into class with hangovers. Lecturing is almost a waste of time since most are sleeping in class or aren't even making an effort to pay attention.

That being said, tomorrow's lecture will more than likely be the most intense and important lecture of the term.

I would not suggest missing class.

Grades have now been posted for the Mid-Terms, you can check them on blackboard. I'm actually quite pleased with the results. I'm sure most of you will be as well.

The Mid-Terms for all my classes will be cumulative and will use short answer and essay questions. There will be questions from lecture as well as all of your reading.

I suggest you all study hard.

Honestly, complaining that I'm a tough teacher only makes the class more difficult. Either deal with me or drop. In the field, if you spend your time thinking something is too difficult, you lose your case. Keep that in mind.

Hm... The next paper will be on distractions in the courtroom. This is also in addition to the homework I've assigned you all already. It'll be due Next Friday.

I demand to know what this pile of papers is doing on my desk. They are obviously not the essays I've recently assigned, because I can't even classify them as poor excuses for papers.

... At this rate, I might be forced to grade on a curve....

I can blame Rush Week and Fraternities-the amount of bad crossdressing I saw Tuesday was enough to last me a few years- but Nothing can excuse what I've just read. 

"Once the lawyer calls out one of those bad court thingies, the judge gets to say if he's right or wrong and that can lead to a penalty, which is another type of bad court thingy, but kind of worse…." 

And they wonder why they're failing....
